Four day trip to Niagara Falls and Bruce Peninsula at the Huron Lake
Sunday
After gathering at the rendezvous point in the morning, we’ll set out for the falls, cross the Catskill Mountain range and enter the Finger Lakes area, drive along Seneca Lake and even stop in the town of Geneva. From there we’ll arrive at the American side of the Niagara Falls. We’ll pass through the pumping station, take a tour on the “Three Sisters Islands” and on “Goat Island” and from there view the falls. Towards evening’ we’ll cross the border to the Canadian side and check in to the hotel. Free time will be given to spend.
Monday
In the morning, we’ll go for a cruise under the Horseshoe Falls, where our ears will with no doubt reverberate with the sound of the falls. At the end of the cruise we’ll take a stroll on the boardwalk and from there drive to Butterfly Valley to see the Flower Clock and tour the Botanical Garden. Afterwards, we’ll set out for the second part of the trip, making a stop on the way for a short tour of Toronto, where we’ll have lunch. Finally, we’ll continue driving until we arrive at our stop at the Ontario’s half of Bruce Island, which is located on Lake Huron, the second-largest lake of the five Great Lakes that divide Michigan, United States and the Ontario district in Canada.
Tuesday
We will spend most of the day on Bruce Island, the “Caribbean” island at the heart of the freshwater lake. To fully appreciate the island’s beauty, we will sail around the island and stop at the island’s main points of attraction. Towards evening, we’ll make our way back to Niagara Falls and make yet another stop, take a final look at them, and then proceed to have a memorable group evening.
Wednesday
After breakfast, we’ll set out for New York. On the way, we’ll stop in Corning, home to the famous glass factory that manufactures the finest glass tools and houseware ceramics in the USA, not to mention the best manufacturer of optic fibers for civilian and military clientele. We’ll take a tour of the factory and the museum and then have time to walk around and make purchases at the gift store. From there, we’ll continue our journey to New York.
End of trip.
