It was decided by the American government that the architect Pierre Charles L’Enfant’s design for the capital city was the most fitting. Pierre reassured everyone that this city will be the source of the American pride and a point of interest for the masses from all over the country and the world.

Indeed, Washington D.C. is with no doubt the most discussed city in the world – as the center of the American government, to which swarm statesman and official delegations from all over the world, in addition to millions of tourists every year.

Day One

We’ll set out south from New York via Delaware, Maryland and Baltimore to our first destination in Washington D.C. – the Capitol, where we will take a extensive tour of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and more.

From there we will go see the White House and Capitol Hill, and then visit several monuments (Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam and Korea).

Towards the evening, we’ll cross the Potomac River to Virginia and there settle down for the night in a hotel. For those who are interested, there will be a night out in Georgetown.

Day Two

Following breakfast, we’ll take a tour in the Arlington Cemetery and watch the “Changing of the Guard” of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and then proceed to visit the graves of John F. Kennedy and his brother, Robert Kennedy.

With the visit over, we’ll cross over back to the capital city for lunch and then go to the National Air and Space Museum. Free time will be given to walk around, and from there we’ll make our way back to New York.

End of trip.
